Tour groups and independent travellers arrive for the shopping, the landmarks and the winter warmth — a wave that has grown every year and now visibly moves rates at Downtown and Marina hotels.

Demand skews to central, landmark-view hotels — Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain sightlines, Marina and JBR — rather than remote beach resorts, so a room with a view carries a clear premium this week.

It lands a week before UK February half-term, so early February is the start of a near-continuous three-week peak. The quiet booking window is late January, before the group blocks and the half-term families both commit.
